SPITHALER AND TUCKE GOT 2 STRAIGHT, MOORE CONTIUNES HIS DOMINANCE, COLLINS GETS HIS 4TH,ALEXANDER GETS HIS FIRST

Written By: William Burkhart

The Glass House Super Stocks would see the track first. Braden Tucke in the 18 would sit on the pole with the 27B of Don Baney to his outside. Tucke would jump out to a nice lead early on. Within a couple of laps Baney had caught the 18 car but couldn’t seem to get by him. Lap 4 Don Baney would get sideways. He would keep the car rolling but, Luke Sprouce would spin behind him bringing the race’s first Buck’s Auto Sales Yellow Flag out.  On the restart Brad Hensel would take a look to the bottom of the 27 car before having a mechanical issue on lap 5 to bring out another yellow. The restart would once again see the 18 get a great restart.  Another yellow would fly as Luke Sprouce would spin and collect Brad Hensel. Hensel’s evening would be over after that accident. Another restart would see Tucke again drive away from the field. Don Baney would find some speed in his 27B Machine and start to reel in the 18 of Tucke. 2 laps left Don Baney would get ahead of Tucke. As the duo entered turn three the two would make contact causing Don Baney to spin. Tucke would bring the field back to the green with two to go. Baney would be all over his bumper but couldn’t make it happen as Braden Tucke would win his second race of the season. Don Baney second, Luke Sprouce third.

Cody Bova would bring us to the green for the FAST 410 feature. Outside pole sitter Zane DeVault would jump out to an early lead. Behind him Chris Myers and Brandon Spithaler would duke it out for third. Zane Devault would reach lap traffic, but Travis Philo would bring out the yellow before Devault could make a pass. At the restart Cody Bova would try to make a slide job for the lead. As he slid up he would make contact with Chris Myers. His night would be over. DeVault would show the field to green as Brandon Spithaler would inherit 2nd. Ricky Peterson would take over third in exciting fashion. Yellow would fly agon at lap 15 as Joe Adorjan would spin. Spithaler would try a slide job on the Devault. The two would throw down for the lead for the preceding 4 laps. DeVault would hold on for the lead. Layton Wagner would battle with Ricky Peterson for third. 7 laps to go would see DeVault back in lap traffic. He would make contact with a lap car sending him into the turn 3 wall but unfortunately end his comminating run. That would give Brandon Spithaler the lead. Spithaler would take a nice lead and bring the field to the checkers to win his second Wayne County feature in a row. Peterson second and Wagner third.

Kyle Moore and JR Gentry would bring lead the Malcuits Tavern UMP Late Models. Gentry would lead the field into turn one and try and run away from the hard charging Kyle Moore. 8 Laps in and the pair would got at it in lap traffic. Moore would inherit the lead on lap 9. Lap 12 saw the first yellow of the night as Dave Hornickel would spin and call it a night. Moore would take his Tye Twarog Longhorn back to the front. He would dominate the rest of the race to pick up his 7th straight victory. Gentry second and Mike Bores 3rd.

Casey Buttler would sit on the pole for the Flynn’s Tire & Auto Service UMP Modifieds with Caden Alexander to his outside. Alexander would lead the field out of turn 2 with Ryan Markham right behind him. At lap 6 we would see our first Bucks Auto Sales yellow. Ronald Fullmer would spin.  Alexander would show the field to the green as Ryan Markham would come alive. Alexander would work the bottom in 3&4 as Markham would run up high. The yellow would fly again on lap 9 as Ronald Fullmer would spin. The field would try another restart, but a tire would explode on the 60 of Jimmy Humphrey. As the field came to the halfway mark Jason King would make a charge for third past the 99 of Casey Butler. Butler would shake off the 89 as Took Wiles in the 187 would fall off the pace to bring out another yellow flag. King would get past the 99 of Butler with 7 laps left. Back at the front of the field Ryan Markham would get some runs off the top of turn 4. Alexander would fight him off. Coming to two laps to go the two would bang doors causing Markham to get in the wall. Alexander would hit his marks and hold off Markham for his first career modified win. Markham second and Jason King 3rd.

The Joyride Transport Mini Stocks would round out the evening. Doug Hensel would start on the pole and Pennsylvania traveler Dillon Thorne to his outside. Hensel shows the field on the start with Anthony Collins in Hot Pursuit. Collins would stick to the back bumper. Collins would get along side Hensel on lap 5 and would make contact with the 18 car and unfortunately end Doug’s night. Collins would show the field back to green and open up a decent lead. Debris would be present in turn three to bring out a yellow flag. The green would come back but not for long as Cody Musselman would get upside in his 7C car. Cody would climb out okay. Back under the green Anthony Collins would get a great restart. Justin Cranmore would try and reel him in but would pull off coming to 2 laps to go. Collins would cruise to his 4th win of the season. Johnny Bruce who jumped off the berm in his heat race would finish second and Kenny Long 3rd.

Action Resumes at WCS Sunday July 14th with the DirtCar Summer Nationals Hell Tour featuring $7500 to win for the late models, $1500 for the modifieds, plus Super Stocks and Mini Stocks on tap.
